Community Involvement

Being a Native San Diegan, Catherine is a firm believer in giving back to the community and can be seen spending her time not only helping her clients achieve financial security, but also helping various organizations throughout the county. Being active in the community is something that Catherine feels is very important while helping other business owners and professionals is a major focus of her business.

Catherine continually gives her time, talent and treasure to causes and organizations she feels strongly about. Whether it is helping others with their own personal or professional leadership development, community service or advocacy, Catherine is always ready and willing to connect and mentor. She believes in the ability to impact change through the power of volunteerism, community and civic engagement and that in order to advance our community it starts with oneself.


MANA de San Diego

Catherine currently serves as Western Regional Board Memeber for MANA National and Immediate Past-President Board Member at Large of MANA de San Diego.

MANA de San Diego was founded in 1986. It is a local chapter of a national organization, MANA National. In 1974, MANA National was founded in Washington D.C. by Mexican-American women dedicated to the betterment of their herMANAs (sisters). The organization has developed and sustained programs that serve to achieve the mission of empowering Latinas through education, leadership development, community service, and advocacy.

San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association

Catherine currently serves as the Corporate Sponsorship Chair of San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association (SDLRLA). The purpose of SDLRLA is to advance the cause of equality, empowerment and justice for Latino attorneys and the Latino Community in San Diego County through service and advocacy.


Additional Organizations

In addition to MANA de San Diego and San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, Catherine is also on the City of San Diego Small Business Advisory Board, past President of the National Latina Business Women Association San Diego and a current supporting member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego.

Catherine was recognized by New Americans Museum of San Diego on November 17, 2017 for her support and volunteer work to foster tolerance, harmony, and greater understanding of the contributions of immigratns to America.
